 Mourvèdre is a red grape variety that produces rich and powerful wines, often used in blends, but also capable of shining as a single varietal. Aromas include blackberry, blueberry, and black plum.

 Originally from Spain, where it is known as Monastrell, it is also very widespread in the south of France, particularly in Provence and Languedoc-Roussillon.
